Isotta is an architect, landscape architect and Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Parma; previously taught at Naples, Federico II, Catania and Polytechnic of Milan, University of Florence, University of Genoa, Syracuse University of Florence in Italy and University of Virginia in USA . Member of the Ph.D. Board in Landscape and Environment at La Sapienza of Rome University. Fulbright Fellow of the American Academy in Rome. 

She teaches and lectures on Landscape Architecture nationally and internationally and is currently author of numerous articles and monographs as Parcs Publics. Paysages 1995-2000Il progetto del vuoto. Public Space in Motion 2000-2004Design Journey. A Pedagogical narrative between Italy and the UsaThe Design of Public Space. Five visions for the city and the urban landscape. She has published essays on Public Nature and Operative nature and in 2017 the book Landscape at the Center. Integration among disciplines followed in 2022 by Landscape at the Center. Between reality and Interpretation.Public Space Theory and Design is the main topic of her research.
